Enjoy the Beaches of Cartagena, Colombia

Cartagena is one of those magical cities that not only boasts epic dining and nightlife but happens to be perched on the edge of the glimmering Caribbean sea. This is great news for beach lovers because a whole host of glorious beaches await just outside the city walls. From the sands of Baru to the islands of Tierra Bomba and the Rosario Islands, there are plenty of options for travelers who want to kick back and relax on their Colombian getaway.

One of the best things about Cartagena private beach is the fact that it’s easy to get there. A short boat ride or taxi ride from the city center is all it takes to enjoy a tropical oasis with sparkling sapphire waters and shimmering white sands. There are also a number of hotels that offer beach areas for guests, though it’s important to remember that despite the name “Cartagena Private Beach” Colombian beaches are public property so you will still likely be approached by vendors selling everything from drinks to fruit to sunglasses to sarongs.

Fenix Beach is a beautiful example of this with its laid back festival vibe, large white sandy beach, incredible weaved wooden orbs that make for spectacular photos and a stunning pool that’s often surprisingly quiet. There’s also a restaurant here that offers both lunch and dinner and there are plenty of lounge spaces to relax in.

This hotel is also home to a beautiful beach club and it’s a great place to go for both day visitors and those who have booked an overnight stay at the hotel. The food is pretty good here and there’s a huge array of different cocktails on offer, as well as some nice music playing. There’s even an outdoor dance floor where you can take part in a bachata party!

Blue Apple Beach is another one that’s inspired by the beach clubs of Ibiza and the South of France. It’s a lovely spot with lots of beds and sun loungers to choose from overlooking the beach, as well as some really fun drinks that you can enjoy while listening to music. This is a popular spot during the day when many of the hotels in Cartagena bring their day pass guests to enjoy all it has to offer.

This is a gorgeous little beach that’s actually on an island in the Rosario Islands and is a great option for families with kids because it has lifeguards on duty and there are plenty of shaded areas where you can rest. It’s also a very picturesque beach with a lovely lagoon and crystal clear water, so it’s definitely worth a visit during your trip to Cartagena. The only downside is that it can be a bit crowded when the locals come to spend the day. If you want to avoid this, try going early in the morning or later in the evening. Cartagena Private Beach
